21 Day Countdown

It is Friday 8.02pm and this time in 21days Jen and I with Dora and our outback travelling buddies D&S expect to be sitting somewhere cosy in Roma!  The first night out of our Lake Eyre and SA Desert Park Adventure.  For those of you who don't know much about our Western Queensland regions, Roma is about 520km WNW of Brisbane.  Early this year the poor people of Roma suffered in the floods from the Diamantina just as our Brisbane River flooded from all of the rains from the Darling Downs. 

We will be having our first night camping and definitely enjoying a Roma Pub Beer - but will probably enjoy a little camp kitchen cooking. Then onto Birdsville, a long day on the road!

I have always wanted to go to Birdsville! We won't get there for the races, apparently they won't happen until Sept later this year..... For those of you who know me well, won't be surprised I am not that good at coordinating my trips with great events of the region.  I only managed that once and that was the French Open in 2005 - Unforgettable.  

Any interesting little tips of places to drop into along the road, please post a comment.  All postcard tips welcomed!  Am I starting to sound a little excited, I actually am which is scarey cause there is still so much to do.  Jen has finished marking so she is in countdown mode except for reporting!!!!
