Court Room 600 - Nuremberg Trials

This is the place of the first international court held in 1945 Nuremberg. The trials were held to provide a legal unbiased hearing to review under the principles of justice the actions of the leading faction of the Third Reich under the reign of Hitler.

The museum and exhibit provided a great deal of information about the formation of the court, the changes to law and the allied international agreements required to form and hold this court process. It is really the foundation for the pursuant International court of Hague.

I found some of the live footage actually used in the trials too sickening to view, and as we heard audio transcripts from the defendents, it is remarkable how they were prepared to deny their wrong doing and sought to conspire to avoid judgement. Yet in their final statements to the court, still remained staunchly loyal and defiant about their committment to Adolf Hitler's ideals and agenda.
